Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk or water
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced or mashed
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)
  • Optional Toppings
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Chopped nuts walnuts, almonds, pecans
  • Cinnamon
  • Peanut butter
  • Fresh berries

Method
 

  1. Pour milk or water into a small saucepan and heat over medium until it simmers gently.
  2. Stir in rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low.
  3. Mash or slice the banana and add it to the oats. Cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, add toppings like honey, nuts, or cinnamon, and serve warm.

Notes

 

  • Use milk for creamy oatmeal, water for lighter oatmeal.
  • Adjust liquid for preferred thickness.
  • Sweeten naturally with ripe banana or add honey/maple syrup if desired.
